What is Poly~Wood?
Poly~Wood is a high performance lumber substitute made of a high-density recycled plastic polymer. Polyresins, HDPE (high-density polyethylene), select coloring and foaming agents are processed into a specification product that resembles painted and natural wood products. The unique nature and design of Poly~Wood make it flexible, comfortable and ideal for outdoor furniture.
Why is Poly~Wood low-maintenance?
Poly~Wood is compounded with permanent, UV stabilized colors all throughout the material. This eliminates the need for painting and staining, waterproofing, stripping or resurfacing. The surface characteristics resist adhesives and the solvents used as carriers for many adhesives. Commercial grade stainless steel hardware with an additional “Xylan” protective and cosmetic coating is used for assembly.
Poly~Wood can be cleaned using a cloth or soft bristle brush along with soap and water. All-purpose household cleaners or 1/3 bleach to 2/3 water solutions take care of extreme cleaning needs. Another popular method of cleaning is a high-pressure power wash.
How durable is Poly~Wood?
Poly~Wood is nearly double the weight of wood and will not blow over in windy conditions. It has exceptional resistance to moisture, it will not rot, warp, crack, splinter or support bacterial growth. Additionally, this product is impervious to many common corrosive substances including salt water and chlorine and can be left outside all year-round.
